Fancy Dress Competition
‘In a world full of trends, lets choose to be classic. Elegance never fades, neither does the impact of a perfectly chosen fancy dress’.
A fancy dress competition not only blends learning with fun but also develops confidence in students by giving them an opportunity to speak in front of their own classmates.
This fun-filled learning activity allowed the children of FY PP1 to pair with their parent to participate in a unique Fancy Dress Competition. On the 25th September, 2024 the parents and kids put up a great show. They teamed up to depict the English letters with the corresponding characters such as Egg & Hen, Kitten & Cat, Bunny & Rabbit, to name a few.Their stage presence won the hearts of teachers and judges. This event was a celebration of the enthusiasm, creativity and boundless imagination of the parents who dressed along with
their children to showcase their costume and spirit. This show was indeed an ode to the brilliant ‘out of the box’ ideas of children, parents and teachers alike.
The children of FY PP2 were equally enthusiastic and were in sync with the theme of Characters from fiction. The characters seemed to have jumped out of their screens to mesmerize the spectators. The young ones used the stage to showcase their confidence while speaking a few lines about their character. This event was an opportunity to nurture the seeds of creativity in little children, while imbibing empathy as they were given an opportunity to see the world through the eyes of someone else. These tiny tots used the stage to express their talent. This show was indeed anode to the brilliant ‘out of the box’ ideas of children, parents and teachers alike. Hats off to them
