The 62nd ASISC Annual Conference was hosted in Chennai from the 27th to 29th November 2019. HPS B was represented by its Vice Principal Ms Amrita Chandra Raju and Senior School Coordinator & Head of the Department of Biology, Dr Neeta Bisht. More than 1500 participants attended this Conference that discussed Education- Best to Next Practices. The Welcome Address was by the Chief Guest, Prof. MK Surappa, Vice Chancellor, Anna University, Chennai. Mr N Ram, Chairman, The Hindu Group of Publications, who delivered the Keynote Address said that Education is not just a curriculum but an endeavour to make young people aware of issues that make a difference to society. The 3 day Conference was packed with enlightening sessions. The highlight, however, was the session with Mr Ruskin Bond, the renowned writer who has entertained generations of readers. His advice was priceless- aim for perfection though you can’t be perfect and to be a good writer you must be a good reader. The Council Time on the 3rd day was informative and insightful. All in all, a great experience where learning was the goal.
