Cambridge
“We are empowering people with the skills and knowledge they need to adapt to a changing world.” – Cambridge International
Ours is not a new tryst with the Cambridge Curriculum. The Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet, was set up on the lines of Eton College, following the Cambridge Curriculum, in 1923. The first batch of students appeared for the Senior Cambridge ‘O’ levels in 1929. This curriculum was followed till the 1970s. We renewed our bond in 2020.
The Cambridge education is flexible, challenging and inspiring, culturally sensitive yet international in approach. Cambridge values deep subject knowledge as well as encourages students to develop higher order thinking skills; problem solving skills; critical thinking skills; aids independent research; collaboration and skills of persuasion.
The Cambridge Curriculum offers over 70 subjects at Cambridge IGCSE and Cambridge O Level, and over 55 subjects at Cambridge International AS & A Level. This allows Cambridge students a real choice – both of subject and subject combination.
Students know that their Cambridge qualifications are globally recognised, accepted by universities and employers at home and around the world. A Cambridge qualification comes with an impressive reputation.
At Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet, the students will be provided an unpressurised but challenging and engaging learning environment, based around the child’s readiness to learn. The learners will be encouraged to see learning as an enjoyable, lifelong process that enables them to make constructive choices throughout their lives in order to achieve economically, personally and socially, as responsible global citizens.
The students will get a wide range of choices in a truly diverse buffet of subjects, where a future Physicist gets to study Music or Art and Design; an Organic Chemistry enthusiast gets to study Drama; an Economist gets to analyse real world issues through Global Perspective. These are just a few examples of the diverse and wide choice of subjects offered to our students in IGCSE (Grade 10) and further on in AS-A(Grade 11 & 12) levels.
The 21st century world is not a ghettoized, fragmented landscape but one where cultural, social, economic interactions frame world policy and create environments of understanding and trust. The Cambridge Curriculum, with its universal flavour, on the legendary HPS campus, steeped in history, will ensure our students emerge as global leaders with a broad and in-depth understanding of the real issues plaguing the world; and the creativity and compassion to solve them.
The Cambridge curriculum served on a HPS platter is truly a magical combination.
