CHILDREN DAY CELEBRATION – 2023
On November 14th, 2023, our entire school assembled in our state-of-the-art open-air theatre to celebrate our children’s boundless spirit and imagination. The event, meticulously curated by our dedicated teachers, aimed to honour the unique qualities of each attendee.
Commencing with a moment of reflection guided by Anuhya Perwala, our head girl, we were then inspired by the insightful words of Ms. Bharathi Duvvuri and Ms. Maureen Rodrigues, urging us to embrace mindfulness and contemplation. Current events updates were delivered by Ms. K Latha Madhuri, Dr. Neeta Bisht, Mr. Srinivas Reddy, and Ms. Renuka, providing us with a comprehensive overview of national, international, sports, and business news. Dr. Preet Kaur led us on a fascinating journey of scientific discovery, and Ms. Sonali shared her valuable insights and ideas in a captivating talk.
The celebration continued with awe-inspiring performances by our talented teachers. The invocation dance showcased the beautiful art forms of Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Kathak, and traditional dance, each performed with grace and passion by Ms. Madhavi, Ms. Vasudha, Ms. Subbulaxmi, Ms. Rupa, Ms. Ekta, and Ms. Aparna. The musical performance by the nightingales of HPS, led by the maestro of melodies Mr. Michael, created a magical soundscape that resonated with everyone’s hearts.
The Chief Guest for the day was Mr Ramendra Kumar, an eminent author of children’s books in English. He has also written satire, poetry, travelogues, adult fiction and non-fiction.
The festivities concluded with a delightful skit titled “The Silent Saga – The Panchangam Family,” a humorous portrayal of a large family with 12 mischievous children and their parents. The skit came to life through the brilliant concept, script, and narration of Ms. Navia, expertly directed by Ms. Sowmya Ram.
Following the heart-warming performances, attendees were treated to a sumptuous lunch featuring biryani and ice cream, adding a delectable touch to the overall experience. As the children left, they carried with them a sense of gratitude, having enjoyed a day filled with joy, laughter, and outstanding performances.
