Cultivating the Love for Reading
In an endeavor to cultivate and promote the invaluable habit of reading amongst the students, the Ministry of Culture organized a vibrant book fair at HPS Begumpet. The event took place in the esteemed main hall of Shaheen, an iconic building within the school premises. This enriching exhibition was inaugurated on September 11, 2023, by the school Registrar, Lt. Col PLN Sharma, accompanied by eager students. Subsequently, it was graced by the presence of our esteemed Principal Dr. Skand Bali and Vice Principal Mrs. Amrita Chandra Raju.
The event saw a flurry of activity as students eagerly thronged to the book stalls, eager to explore and purchase books that captivated their imagination and interest. Indeed, a good book is a perfect companion, and the fair provided a rich assortment of genres, from timeless classics to contemporary novels, ensuring there was something for every age and taste.
The exhibition, which continued until September 13th, allowed students to indulge in a wide array of books, providing them with an excellent opportunity to expand their literary horizons. The presence of numerous titles exposed students to diverse literary experiences, nurturing their intellect and broadening their perspectives.
As Dr. Seuss so beautifully put it, “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” This sentiment echoed throughout the fair, reinforcing the importance and joy of reading in shaping young minds and propelling them towards a brighter future.
The book fair at HPS Begumpet was undoubtedly a resounding success, leaving an indelible mark on the young minds, inspiring them to delve deeper into the world of literature and embrace the enriching habit of reading. Through initiatives like these, we aim to cultivate a society of avid readers, fostering a love for learning and knowledge that will accompany them throughout their lives.
