Feathered Friends (Birds)
Birds are fascinating not only for adults but for children as well. They form a considerable part of our ecosystem.
Children of PP1 had the ‘Feathered Friends’ topic for two weeks. In the first week, children learned about the essential characteristics, feathers, and nesting habits of birds like Tailorbird, Tucan, Pelican, Peacock, Parrot, Woodpecker, hummingbird, etc. The children understood the relationship between the different kinds of beaks and the food habits of birds.
In week two, children learnt many interesting facts about the birds, and they were amazed to know how birds adapt themselves to fit in the habitats they live in.
