Independence Day Programme – 15th August,2024

The 78th Independence day was observed at the Hyderabad Public School, in the presence of the Principal, the Vice principal, the Registrar, Co-ordinators of the Foundational Years, Primary, Middle and Senior School, teachers, students and parents; symbolising the nation’s victorious struggle for independence and celebrating freedom and sovereignty.
The programme commenced with the unfurling of the vibrant Tiranga followed by an euphonic choir by the Middle and Senior School students.The choir performed an original composition entitled “Azadi”, written by Ishanvi Iyer of Grade 9 and composed by Mr. Jessie Lawson.
The diverse array of languages signifying our culture and traditions, was exuberantly showcased by the students of Grade 11.
The Primary school choir amazed the audience with their scintillating performance of a semi-classical song entitled “Ghalat Mat Kadam Uthao”, followed by a musical skit – “Colours of Freedom”, by the Foundational Years students.
The audience was enthralled by the dance performance of the Primary School students, who presented an ode to the nation byshowcasing the custom of worshipping the Earth as ‘Bhudevi’ – Mother Earth.
The Head Boy Sarthak Lamba delivered an inspiring speech emphasising on Tagore’s vision of an ideal nation.
The highlight of the event was the spectacular dance performance by the Senior School students,brilliantly choreographed by Ms. Subbulakshmi. The students marvelled the audience with their skill and poise by honouring an unsung hero, Rani Rudrama Devi.
Our revered principal, Dr Skand Bali, delivered his address by reiterating on the inspiring story behind the colours and symbol of the 24 spokes in the national flag. He urged everyone to inculcate the ideals and values of the Dharma Chakra.
The programme culminated with the vote of thanks delivered by the Head Girl Saanvi Saagi, acknowledging the hard work rendered by the students,teachers and staff members.
