IPSC TEACHER’S THOUGHT CONCLAVE
The IPSC Teachers’ Conclave this year was organized by the Punjab Public School at Nabha from the 2nd to the 4th of November 2019. The theme ‘Cautious Collaboration of Technology in Restructuring Education’ focused on issues ranging from why should we adopt technology tools that could depersonalize a classroom to ‘netiquettes’ essential to a classroom.
Some very interesting speakers ensured the listeners perceived that technology should be used as a tool not a toy as well as an endeavor to explore endless opportunity. Ms Amrita Chandra Raju, the Vice Principal, Ms Neeta Reddy, the Middle School Coordinator for Academics, Ms DP Sailaja, the Head of the Department of Physics and Ms T Vijayalakshmi, Department of Math attended the Conclave and returned with a very important take away that over dependence on technology is dangerous but teachers too need to upgrade themselves in the width of their approach and thinking. Teachers were advised to treat technology not as a skill to be mastered but a tool to be enjoyed in their teaching-learning journey
