Visit to NRSC
On Thursday, 24 January 2019, fifty three students of class 9 visited National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC) at Jeedimetla,Hyderabad. NRSC is responsible for remote sensing satellite data acquisition and processing, data dissemination, aerial remote sensing and decision support for disaster management.The students who are studying science and have interest in space study were chosen for the outreach program organized by the NRSC.
The students where introduced to Indian Space Programme and role of NRSC through screening of videos. Scientists interacted with the students and explained topics related to cryogenic engine, satellite escape velocity, launching of satellites and importance of pre-planned series of action.
