Every year we celebrate our Republic Day on 26th January to mark the day when the Indian constitution came into effect and we attained ‘Purna Swaraj’. This year our pre-primary had a virtual Republic day celebration with fervor and patriotism.
Children and teachers joined the class dressed in the colours’ of our Indian flag. The celebration started with a special prayer, which was about blessing our mother land. Children were shown videos that depicted the importance of Republic day and how this special day is celebrated in our capital city – New Delhi. A few patriotic songs were played. Kids watched a special video that showed how and why we should respect our national flag. The celebration ended with the children singing our national anthem with great pride.
