The Telugu Bhasha Dinotsavam celebration held at The Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet, on September 9, 2023, was a resounding success. The event was a vibrant showcase of the rich legacy, history, and culture of the Telugu language, featuring a captivating cultural show that left the audience spellbound.

The Hyderabad Public School students left no stone unturned in their efforts to convey the essence of Telugu language and culture through various artistic performances. The event featured a splendid mix of drama, dance, and a play, each embodying the spirit of Telugu heritage.

The primary students presented an enchanting lyrical performance, “Satyameva Jayate,” which captivated the audience. The performance not only showcased the acting talents of the young students but also conveyed a powerful message. Students from Class 2 showcased their talents through a delightful dance performance, adding a colorful dimension to the celebration. The event paid homage to the rich culture of Telugu by presenting the “Glory of Avadhanam” with a spontaneous sense of humor, masterfully paraphrasing words. Yarlagadda Harsha Sri Vishnu delivered a solo enactment of the character “Duryodhna” from the epic Mahabharata. His performance reminded everyone of the acting prowess of Natasarvabhouma, Shri Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao.

The Chief Guest for the day, Dr. Skand Bali, the Principal, emphasized the importance of language as the foundation for portraying the rich culture of the people. He urged everyone to protect and respect such an ancient language as Telugu. The Vice Principal, Mrs. Amrita Chandra Raju, also praised the beauty and grace of the Telugu language, acknowledging the importance of nurturing it.

The presence of the Headmaster, Headmistress, Senior and Middle School Coordinators, teaching and non-teaching staff, and parents added to the success and grandeur of the event.
The event concluded on a high note with a vote of thanks by the Head of the Telugu Department, Dr. Senapati Satyanarayana.
