The Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet, recently played host to an extraordinary event that left an indelible mark on the students – Start-X, an Entrepreneurship Summit that was nothing short of a journey into the realms of passion, grit, creativity, positivity, and optimism. Orchestrated by the proud HPS alumnus, this event aimed at instilling the spirit of entrepreneurship, innovation, and positivity in the budding minds.
The event garnered support from notable figures, including Mr. Kamal D Shah, Chief Doctor at Nephro Plus, our esteemed Principal Dr. Skand Bali, and Mr. Gusti J. Noria, the President of HPS Society. Their endorsement paved the way for an impressive entrepreneurial extravaganza.
Over two enriching days, on the auspicious occasion of the centenary celebrations, Start-X unfolded with six insightful panel talks. Topics ranged from ‘Cultivating Grit’ to ‘India’s Space Ecstasy’ to the ‘Creator Economy’ to ‘Angel Investing.’ The event featured inspiring entrepreneurs and investors from around the world, providing a platform for new opportunities in investment, partnership, and collaboration.
The panel discussions were graced by notable personalities, including Nandan Reddy (CEO, Swiggy), GV Sanjay Reddy (COO, GVK Group), Shailesh Jejurikar (CEO, Procter and Gamble), Rana Daggubatti, Supriya Yarlagadda, among many others. Two masterclasses on ‘Design Thinking’ and ‘Growth Mindset,’ led by Ranjan Chatterjee, former lecturer at IIT Bombay, further added to the informative landscape.
A highlight of StartX was the ingenious inclusion of a ‘Shark Tank’ scenario. Founders, contacted by the core team, pitched their ideas to potential investors, creating a real-world experience that brought entrepreneurial dreams to life.
The event concluded with a gesture of appreciation, as mementoes were presented to all the panelists. The attendees were treated to a speech by Mr. CV Anand, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad Police, adding a touch of wisdom to the event. The ‘Photo Sessions’ of the Start-X Core Team on stage marked the culmination of a successful and memorable event.
