Professional Development workshop of the Cambridge School.
A Staff Professional Development programme was planned for the Cambridge Faculty on 13 April 2024 in Class 9L @ The Jagirdar’s Block.
The session was attended by 15 teachers. The warm up session started with all the members sitting in mixed groups of both subject and gender. This was followed by a Hi-5 Relay race among all the 04 groups.
Post the warm-up relay race, the members congregated back in the class-room where they were shown a motivational video on how to be an empathetic and effective teacher. They were then each asked to list out their favourite teacher from the time they were students and write why so.
Post this the teachers were shown another Inspirational video on how a Teacher can change a life. Then we discussed the different kinds of students we get in our class and how we can reach out to each of them through Inclusive models of T-L and through activities.
Then the group was made to go through the PPT prepared on Cambridge- Website, School Support Hub, CIE Direct and Lesson Plan Format.
Post this, the members were re-divided into different aligned subject-wise groups such as – Languages, Math, Sciences and Social Science. Each Team was asked to create a Lesson Plan for a topic of their choice.
The final element of the PD required each staff member to share who their favourite teacher was and why?
All in all, it was an effective Professional Development programme.
