HINDI DIWAS CELEBRATIONS
Hindi Diwas was celebrated with great pomp on September 14, 2021 at 3 pm on the premises of The Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet. The Chief Guest for the programme was Dr. Balwinder Kaur (Assistant Professor, Dakshin Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha Khairatabad).
The programme started with the lighting of the lamp. The students enthralled the audience with street plays, a qawwali and a costume pageant, Mile Sur Mera Tumhara. Poems and stories of little children were the center of attraction.
The introduction of the Chief Guest was given by the Head of the Department of Hindi,
Mr. K. Ravi. Senior Hindi teacher, Mr. Bikram Kesari Sahu, presented the history of the Hindi language and its greatness.
The Registrar, Col Sharma, encouraged the children with his presence. Our Principal (FAC), Mrs. Amrita Chandra Raju recited a few lines from the poem ‘Need Ka Nirmaan’ composed by Mr Harivansh Rai Bachchan, appreciated the contribution of the children and their parents and exhorted teachers and students to use language as a medium of dignified communication.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Balwinder Kaur, said that Mahatma Gandhi worked tirelessly to promote Hindi in South India and also appreciated the contribution of Sri Agyeya, Sri Amitabh Bachchan, Sri Nirala, Sri Mahadevi Verma in promoting the language.
The program ended with the rendering of the National Anthem.
