The Hyderabad Public School celebrated 70^th Republic Day with patriotic fervor and zeal. The celebration began with the hoisting of the National flag by the Principal, Dr. Skand Bali. All students, parents and staff stood to attention as the National anthem was played. The windy morning was infused with positive energy as the Middle and Senior School choir sang patriotic songs like Vande Mataram as a tribute to AR Rahman, a great musician who has brought pride to India multiple times. The Primary School choir inspired the audience with renditions of praise for the Motherland.

The Head Girl Shilpika Reddy delivered an inspiring speech, especially directed to the young girls and women of the country.

The students of Class 2 expressed their love for the country through the dance drama they performed. They effectively conveyed that the selfless acts of all the men and women who gave them the India they live in today, was not lost on them. They promised to carry on the spirit of purity and brotherhood that epitomizes the Motherland and grow up to serve the nation through the professions they take up.

The Principal, Dr. Skand Bali, shared a few inspiring and motivational words too. Compere Isha Gandham and Anish Mohanty added informal and comical element to the event. The vote of thanks was delivered by Moksha of class 11which wrapped up the celebration.
