AFS Domestic Class Exchange Programme

AFS Class Exchange Program was held from 10th November to 16th November, 2019. The British Co-Ed High School, Patiala, Punjab hosted the Hyderabad Public School. Seven students from class 8 went to Patiala. The Hyderabad Public School hosted seven students of The British Co-Ed High School, Patiala from 6th January, 2020 to 11th January, 2020. This program gave the students an insight into not only the similarities and differences between the cultures of North India and South India but also the way the two schools function.

Several places of historical and cultural significance were visited. They participated in various sessions like art, craft, theatre, music and English Listening Comprehension. The escort teacher of HPSB organised a doll making workshop for the girls in the community school run by BCEHS.

HPS students picked up Punjabi while they tried to learn the Telugu language. They appreciated the cuisine of Punjab and Telangana. A. visit to a Gurudwara  and The Golden Temple in Amritsar on Guru Nanak Jayanti and attending a Punjabi Wedding were enjoyed.

The guest students painted Kalamkari motifs on canvas which were gifted to them. The students learnt how to make birds with wool. A friendly basketball match brought the day to a close after which the guests bought the famous Hyderabad pearl jewellery.  The students were taken to the Ramoji Film City, the Hollywood of India.

The guest students were very keen on visiting the Bahubali sets. The movie making session, the sets for shooting mythological stories, the Wild West show, Bahubali sets, and the external sets like the Mughal gardens, the Rajasthan palace enthralled all
