WHEN KNOWLEDGE TAKES CREATIVE WINGS

The Annual Exhibition at The Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet on the 8th February 2025 was yet another success story of creativity and excellence in showcasing a diverse array of student-driven projects across various disciplines. These included Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Urdu, Mathematics, Economics, Technology, History, Music, Psychology,French, SUPW, Yoga, English, Dance, Art, Physical education and Telugu, each displaying innovation, creativity, and intellectual curiosity.

The Chemistry exhibition featured hands-on experiments, including bio-diesel production and silver nanoparticles, aimed at demonstrating real-world applications of chemistry. Students showcased experiments like the Blue Bottle reaction and aluminium extraction. The Chief Guest appreciated the students’ creativity and scientific curiosity, with visitors praising their clear explanations and innovative approach.

In the Biology exhibition, critical topics like CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing, antibiotic resistance, and kidney ailments were explored. The students also highlighted sustainable practices such as vertical farming and discussed the physiological challenges faced by soldiers in high-altitude areas. The exhibition successfully sparked deep interest in biological sciences and their real-world implications.

The Physics exhibition demonstrated student ingenuity through models and experiments that illustrated various physical principles, such as electromagnetism and mechanics. These experiments not only educated but also sparked excitement about the physical sciences.

The Mathematics exhibition was filled with brain teasers and puzzles, along with displays on Geometry, Algebra, Trigonometry, and more. Students presented mathematical concepts in an engaging manner, honoring famous mathematicians like Archimedes and Srinivas Ramanujan, making the subject come alive through both fun and intellectual challenges.

The Economics & Commerce stall explored topics such as the recent budget, banking reforms and financial simulations. Students presented a street play and interactive demonstrations, focusing on the effects of digital banking and financial services, which made these complex topics more accessible and engaging for all.

The TechX 2024-25 exhibition emphasized cybersecurity and cutting-edge technological advancements with 20 innovative projects, including robots, AI-powered translation, and digital security systems. Students provided hands-on demonstrations that brought the world of technology closer to visitors, making it both relatable and exciting.

The History Department’s play, “Shifting Realities – Life in the Modern Age,” humorously critiqued how technology has transformed modern living, encouraging the audience to reflect on the balance between progress and simplicity.

The Psychology exhibition, themed “Explore Within, Impact Beyond,” focused on Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) principles and psychological concepts like self-awareness, emotional regulation, and creativity. Students presented topics such as Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, and created a Gratitude Jar, encouraging visitors to reflect on positive aspects of their lives, underscoring the importance of emotional intelligence.

The SUPW (Socially Useful Productive Work) exhibition featured eco-friendly projects, including a homemade solar oven and recycled cardboard artwork. Additionally, students explored natural beauty products and engaged visitors in interactive games related to sustainable development goals. The exhibition emphasized creativity, sustainability, and community service.

The Telugu exhibition showcased the joint family system, a cornerstone of Indian culture, through a short play titled “Janaki Ramayya’s Joint Family” performed by 19 students. The play emphasized the strong bonds and collective well-being fostered by the joint family system, illustrating its enduring significance in Indian society.

The Urdu exhibition featured captivating performances on the significance of education and the impact of morning routines on success. Students engaged in an interactive “Sher or Shari” session, adding a creative flair to the event and showcasing the beauty of the Urdu language and poetry.

The Hindi department organized an exhibition highlighting the ancient Gurukul education system. A miniature Gurukul was set up, showcasing military training, moral education, Ayurvedic medicine, and agriculture. Students from classes 6 to 8 performed a skit, emphasizing that education is about practical learning, not just theory.

The English Exhibition at Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet, on 8th February 2025, featured creative and interactive activities. Highlights included a photo booth with literary characters, a puzzle corner with various challenges, a literary quest, a treasure hunt, and performance poetry. Students showcased their writing skills in a short story and poetry challenge. The Shakespearean monologue showcase brought iconic characters to life, and the “In the Bazaars of Hyderabad” activity celebrated the city’s cultural richness. The event engaged visitors and highlighted the students’ creativity, making it a great success.

The French exhibit featured two engaging activities: 1) A picture-matching game where students tested their ability to match images with corresponding French words. 2) A showcase on the French East India Company’s colonization of Pondicherry, highlighting its cultural impact on India.

The Music Department delivered an exceptional range of performances, from primary rock bands to soul-stirring solos. The highlight was Vigil, the school’s rock band, which closed the event with impressive renditions of “Hotel California” and “Pretender,” leaving the audience in awe.

The dance department’s performance, the Warli Nritya Utsav highlighted civic responsibility through a skit and the Warli Tarpa Dance. The performance creatively integrated math concepts, such as angles, into traditional art and dance. It was praised for its choreography, energy, and impactful message on cleanliness.

The Art Department shone at the school exhibition with captivating demos and displays in the Kalaprangan art rooms. Highlights included a detailed Origami exhibit, eco-friendly bag crafting, and interactive art activities like personalized bookmarks and tattoo/nail art services. Students also showcased collage evolution, realistic painting techniques, and a vibrant collection of paintings, demonstrating their creativity and mastery of traditional and contemporary art forms.

Additionally, students from classes 6 to 9 participated in a Yoga Exhibition, demonstrating advanced asanas, and rhythmic yoga, and sharing insights on yoga’s physical and psychological benefits. The exhibition highlighted the importance of mindfulness, flexibility, balance, and concentration, encouraging peers to embrace yoga’s holistic advantages.

The Physical Education Department’s “Nostalgic Dive into Vintage Games” exhibition showcased 13 traditional games, including Hopscotch, Marbles, and Gilli Danda. Each game was accompanied by charts explaining its significance and benefits. The event was a hit across generations, with visitors reminiscing about their childhood, making it a heartfelt and successful exhibition.

In conclusion, the Annual Exhibition, 2025 at The Hyderabad Public School was a vibrant celebration of creativity, intellectual curiosity, and dedication to learning.
