International Classical Dance Day
Celebrating the International Day of Classical Dance – April 11
On the occasion of the International Day of Classical Dance, our school proudly hosted an enriching workshop and performance session for both the Middle and Senior School.
The event featured enthusiastic participation from our talented students of Grade 10 and 12. It commenced with an insightful introduction on the significance of International Dance Day and its global observance. This was followed by an engaging presentation on the nine Indian classical dance forms, highlighting the uniqueness and beauty of each tradition. A special demonstration of Mudras (Hand Gestures)added depth to the session.
One of the most symbolic moments was when the children, proudly representing our school’s emblem—the eagle—performed the Garuda mudra with grace and strength, embodying the spirit of vigilance and vision that defines an Eagle.
The highlight was a beautiful jugalbandi dance , blending Bharatanatyam ,Kathak and Kuchipudi classical dance by three beautiful dancers Anagha Shastry 12 C , Laaya Rana 10E,Vidyadharie 12K leaving the audience inspired and deeply connected to our cultural roots.
Through this event, we aimed not only to celebrate our heritage but also to in still a lasting appreciation for the depth and diversity of Indian classical arts.
