Black & White Day

PP2 children celebrated ‘Black and White’ Day on 26th February. The combination of these two colours is often related to ‘day and night, good and evil’ White is associated with peace and black with authority since ages. So even today judges and magistrates wear black.
PP2 children learnt different things about black and white colour. A presentation about animals and things that are commonly seen in black and white was shown. Rhymes were also shown on white and black and few interesting facts about these colours were shared with them. As part of black and white day craft activity, a finger puppet of zebra was made in the class. After making it, they sang a rhyme on zebra with the finger puppet on their hand.
