Educational Trip to Farming Theme Park and Floral Heaven
On 10th January, 2025, the students of The Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet, embarked on an enriching educational trip to the Farming Theme Park and Floral Heaven. The day was filled with fun, learning, and exploration as students engaged in a variety of hands-on activities designed to connect them with nature and foster environmental awareness.
The trip began with farming activities, where students had the opportunity to plant seeds and learn about sustainable agricultural practices. This hands-on experience allowed them to appreciate the hard work that goes into growing our food.
A highlight of the visit was the majestic Baobab tree, which stood as a testament to the beauty and resilience of nature. Students were fascinated by its history and ecological importance. The exploration continued with visits to Nakshatra Vanam and Rasi Vanam, botanical gardens known for their astrological and cultural significance. These visits offered unique insights into the interplay between plants and human traditions.
In the scented gardening session, students learned about fragrant plants and their uses in daily life, from aromatherapy to natural perfumery. This activity ignited their curiosity about the diverse applications of plants in different fields.
The day concluded with an exhilarating rain dance session, where students joyfully splashed around, celebrating the wonders of water. For this activity, many students came prepared with swimming suits and towels, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.
Takeaways of the field trip were – a deeper connection with nature, insights into sustainable farming and environmental practices, and a renewed appreciation for the role of plants in human life.
