Green Day

Colour days are always fun for kids. One such day was the 23rd of August when the children of PP1 celebrated Green Day. The motive of celebrating the green day was to make the kids aware of the colour green, its significance and to develop the fine motor skills in the students. Early identification of colours helps to create the cognitive link between visual clues and words which is an important part of a child’s holistic development.

A story “Green green everywhere’ was shown to kids where all the creatures to the things in the story were green. This was followed by a song about green. After the story children were asked to recollect all the green things and creatures they had come across in the story. They made a green frog and snake as a take-away. It was an amazing learning experience and surely will have a long-lasting effect on every student.
