Independence Day Celebration 2020

“Thousands Laid Down Their Lives So That Our Country Is Breathing This Day… Never Forget Their Sacrifice.”

Independence Day is a day when we pay homage to our valiant freedom fighters. The children of classes 1 to 5 of the Primary School celebrated the 74th Independence Day, virtually. The tricolours of our flag and patriotism found digital expression. The students learned the ideal of ‘The Spirit of Freedom’ by reminiscing about the sacrifices laid down by our great freedom fighters and took a pledge to tolerate, love and respect one another.
Class V students made posters with the theme-I LOVE MY COUNTRY INDIA. They expressed their patriotism through a variety of topics like unity in diversity, culture and heritage, soldiers and leaders.
Class IV students expressed their gratitude to our brave soldiers at the border, and presented a short skit ‘A SOLDIER’S CREED’. They wrote letters and prepared tricolour envelopes for the same.
Class III students were involved in making the ORIGAMI wheel, which reminds us of Ashoka chakra. Class II students took pride in making our tricolour national flag. Class I Students were thrilled to display their self made tri colour headbands.
The day saw speeches, inspirational quotes, dances, role play and recitation by the children. The history of India’s freedom struggle was retold in a short and memorable Programme.
If there is one place on the face of earth where all the dreams of living men have found a home from the very earliest days when man began the dream of existence, it is INDIA.
