‘Through practice comes yoga, through yoga comes knowledge, through knowledge comes love, through love comes bliss’
– Swami Vivekananda
Yoga keeps one mentally and physically fit. It teaches children to persevere, be patient, and work towards their goals. It also provides tools for practicing compassion, mindfulness, generosity, focus, strength, and flexibility.

The students of Primary school celebrated International Yoga Day on 21st June 2021, the first day of school, honouring the ancient art of well-being. It was a common programme assigned to the whole school and all the students and staff participated in it. The morning routine was entirely focused on Yoga. The day started with prayer and continued with the word for the day and thought for the day all related to Yoga. Students spoke about Yoga and its efficacy in today’s world situation. A guided video put together by the department of yoga wherein the children demonstrated various asanas. Children enjoyed watching the video and many were inspired to follow and practice yoga asanas. On the whole the students of classes 1 to 5 have demonstrated great enthusiasm and determination to sow the seeds for another productive year of online study.
