The Indian Public School Championships-Equestrian Competitions were held at Mayo College, Ajmer, Rajasthan from 12th to 15th April, 2019. Five students from HPS Begumpet competed with 110 students from eight other schools and won medals in the Dressage category.Srivatsankit Rama Varma won Gold medal and team won Silver medal in Dressage Children Category.Prem Madhav Bali won team Silver and has been qualified to compete for the next REL (Regional Equestrian League). He also stood 6th in Dressage Children Category – 2. He won the hearts of all the judges and was given a special prize for his performance at the event. Sai Dhairya Mani won Team Silver and has been qualified for the next REL, clearing the cut off marks in the Dressage Children Category – 2 and also stood 6th in the individual event. Mohammad Ayan won individual Silver in Dressage Children Category – 1 on the horse named Jai. He was applauded by all the judges and coaches for his seating posture on horseback. All these students are one step closer to the Junior National Equestrian Championships which will be held in the month of December.
