IPSC IT FEST – 2019
The Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet hosted the IPSC IT Fest 2019 on its sprawling campus from 22nd to 24th August, 2019.
The theme for this year was ‘Instaurabo’ which means ‘mend’ in Latin. This theme inspired & enabled the participants to question the norms of governing social media and their relevance in our lives. The Fest had well-structured modules of various competitions and workshops over the duration of three days, with 200 participants from 26 IPSC Member Schools.
The Chief Guest for the Opening Ceremony was Mr. Bala Prasad Peddigari, Technology Head – Digital Initiatives TCS Ltd. The Chief Guest, Mr Peddigari, in his speech exhorted the students to be unique, to explore without fear and practice the culture of excellence. He also advised the student community to work for the Nation with courage. He was of the opinion that there is no winning or losing but our aim in life should be that of sharing success for universal betterment.The first day had workshops by Kishor Krishnamuti on photography, Mr. Siddharth Shah on film making, Mr. Suraj on Technology- a solution to pertinent problems and Mr. Aneesh for UI Design. The competitions were on programming and poster making.
The workshops on Digital Art by Mr. Aanish Penti, Artificial Intelligence by Mr. Muralidhar and Data Driven Instructions by Mr. Vipul Redey on second day of the FEST evoked curiosity among all the participants. The competitions were in Interface Design, Digital Cartoon Making, Digital Photography, PowerPoint Presentation, Film Making and Data Driven Instructions.
Mr. Jayesh Ranjan, IAS Principal Secretary to the government of Telangana, Industries and Commerce Dept, Info & Tech, Electronics and Communication Dept. was the Chief Guest for the Closing Ceremony. Mr Jayesh Ranjan, Mr Gusti J Noria,Vice Chairman BOG & Vice President HPS Society, Mr M.A.Faiz Khan,Secretary & Treasurer HPS Society , Member BOG and Mr Appnender Babu ,Member HPS Society gave away the certificates of Excellence and Mementoes to the Teacher Incharge of the visiting schools. The third day saw Quiz by Grey Caps Mr. Vikhyath followed by the session on Cyber Security by Mr U. Rama Mohan SP, Cyber Security.
