MUN

The Hyderabad Public School had a highly exciting school year as no heed was given to the setback the novel coronavirus had caused. Instead, the students oh HPS took advantage of the new opportunities that they came across. 9 students of our school attended *Envoys MUN *as delegates on 5 th and 6 th Sep 20 Fizza Fatima – European Union – Special Mention Award, Vishnu Vardhan R. – IAFCM – Honorable Mention Award, Hamza Hyder – International Press – High Recommendation, Sudiksha T. – European Union – Special Mention Award. Ali and Mansa did a wonderful job as Deputy-Chairperson – IAFCM and Charged D’ Affairs and Rapporteur – UNHRC Committee respectively.
Following that event, Nine students of The Hyderabad Public School Begumpet had participated in Birla Public School Model United Nations Conference 2020 organised on 18 th and 19 September .There were around 30 schools and more than 150 participants. Amaan Ali Khan of class 9 received ‘the most promising delegate award’.
Next, three students – Mansa Maheshwari, Pradhyumna Yuvegula and Amaan Ali Khan from Hyderabad Public School,Begumpet attended the BVC MUN held by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Chandigarh on 13th and 14th June,2020. The theme of the MUN was ‘From Repression to Expression’. It was a highly interactive and informative conference with over 10 committees discussing various agendas. The conference had a range of sessions comprising heated debates and discussions amongst students from various schools all over India.
And lastly, eight students ( Grade 9-12) from The Hyderabad Public School Begumpet had attended the Indian Conclave: Ekatya Bharat for two days i.e 6th August 2020 – 7th August 2020 which is one of the biggest Indian Online MUN having delegates from different states and diverse regions of India from the circuits of Chandigarh- Guwahati- Dehradun- Bangalore- Hyderabad and many more.
