Nature Walk- Exploring the Wonders of Nature in Foundational Years Section

‘In every nature walk, one receives far more than they seek’

For our FY-PP2 students, Nature walk was indeed an exciting adventure! They explored the surrounding environment, discovering the beauty and magic of nature that was available all in the lap of our own campus. During the walk, the children observed different types of leaves, flowers and trees, spotted various insects, birds and squirrels, as well as collected interesting rocks, sticks and seeds. Students were appraised not to pluck flowers or leaves or to go close to insects and worms. They really enjoyed observing the smallest details using the magnifying glass and were motivated to learn more and discuss issues pertaining to nature  and the need to protect it.

Students realised that nature is like our MOTHER and they need to embrace and love it wholeheartedly. The nature walk was a valuable learning experience, where the students learned about the five senses and how to use them to explore the abundance and beauty of Mother Nature.
