Insects always add an extra quotient of curiosity to children. PP2 children celebrated and learnt about Insects from 2.9.20 to 11.9.20. On first day, they were introduced to basic facts of what makes an insect – insect such as having 6 legs and should have a head, thorax and abdomen. Interesting presentations were shown to understand the harmful and useful insects that they see all the time in their yard. Children were amazed to know certain interesting facts about insects like butterfly tastes with their feet, dragonfly can fly backwards, etc. Their enthusiasm was double when they drew few insects and coloured them in the class. On the last day, they made an insect head gear and they decorated the coloured insects on twigs..
