Children of PP2 celebrated “Purple day” on 19^th November, 2020. Children wore purple with great pride as they were told that the colour purple is associated with Royalty. Knowing about colours always brings joy to the children. They learnt that by mixing primary colours, red and blue we get purple. The children also learnt that, we get different shades of purple based on the proportions of the primary colour.  Children enjoyed watching the presentation about the various articles  in purple and the rhymes related to it. They finally put into action their learning of mixing red and blue to make purple. The same colour was used to make bottle cap printing activity and grapes. Everyone made grapes in different shades of purple and thus reinforcing the concept of proportions of color mixing.
