Round Square Global Conference (UK)

Five students from Middle School, namely Karanveer, Dayasagar, Himani, Husaina, and Sahruda, accompanied by their teacher, Mrs. Aparna Mahanti from The Hyderabad Public School, had the incredible opportunity to represent their school at the Round Square global conference. This conference, designed for students aged 11 to 13 years, was hosted by the Samworth Church Academy in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, UK.

During their stay, the students and their teacher had the unique experience of spending their nights in bell tents at both the Bushcraft camp and the Wellesley Scout camp. They actively participated in various activities, including learning camouflage and concealment techniques, wilderness first-aid skills, and handling cutting tools. Additionally, they enjoyed delightful evenings around the campfire, savoring hot chocolate with marshmallows.

This global conference witnessed the participation of approximately 14 Round Square member schools from different countries. The children had the opportunity to learn how to navigate safely in an unfamiliar environment while developing a stronger sense of community and team identity. Immersed in the picturesque British landscape, they embraced the outdoors and cherished the memories they made throughout the conference.

Overall, this conference was a tremendous learning experience for the students and their teacher. It allowed them to broaden their horizons, connect with peers from around the world, and develop essential life skills in a nurturing and adventurous environment.
