TEACHERS’ DAY CELEBRATIONS

Music gives soul to the Universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything.
Every year, the 5th of September is dedicated to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan – second President of India who was a great academic philosopher, a well-known diplomat, scholar and above all a teacher. As a tribute to this great teacher, his birthday has been observed as Teachers’ Day.
Unlike every year, Mrs. Amritha Chandra Raju, Principal (FAC) along with the coordinators of the Primary, Middle and Senior school had planned a musical treat for the teachers as a part of the teacher’s day celebrations.
A team of singers – Mr. Leonard Lewis, Mr. Harry Renold, both Entrepreneurs & Mr. Edward Harry James, Designer & Developer enthralled the teacher by rendering melodious songs of Mr. S.P Balasubramaniam, K. J. Yesudas & Kishore Kumar. Though the trio belong to different walks of life they seem to share the same passion for music.
Apart from them our very own music teachers Ms. Moushumi Chitrakar, Mr.Michael Shanthi Kumar & Mr. Edla Emmanuel Praveen and Ms. Amrita Chakravarty of the English department gave a refreshing and mesmerising performance.
The entire teaching community could be seen humming the songs and tapping their feet as they thoroughly enjoyed the show. It took them down memory lane to their younger days. This was followed by a sumptuous lunch.
