The Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet, celebrated Telugu Bhasha Dinotsvam on 8th September 2020, commemorating Sri Kaloji Narayan Rao’s birth anniversary.
Mr. A Shyam Mohan, President of the HPS Society, was the Chief Guest for the occasion, and Mrs. Nagarajeshwari Murthy, the Guest of Honour. Mr. Faiz Khan, Secretary & Treasurer HPS Society, Dr. Madhav Deo Saraswat, Principal HPSB, and Lt Col. PLN Sarma (Retd), Registrar HPSB, graced the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Shyam Mohan said that the beauty of the Telugu language is unparalleled and must emphasize the greatness of the mother tongue to the future generation. He further stated that many poets, writers, and subject experts, through their writings, had expressed the greatness of the language.
“Bhuvanavijayam” a court scene of Sri Krishna Deva Raya, whose period is known as the Golden Period of Literature in Telugu, was depicted on the occasion. Other programmes like Bonalu Dance by the Primary School children, Alluri Sitarama Raju’s soliloquy by Veda Arjun Yarlagadda of class 6, ‘Navarasa Bhava Vinyasam’ – Poem by children of the Middle School were also organised.
The Guest of Honour, Mrs. Nagarajeshwari Murthy, said that the present generation would learn more about the importance of the Telugu language through such programmes.
