Transport Day
To teach students in a practical way to help them understand better about various modes of transport, Transport Day Event was held in Pre Primary 1 on 24th July 2018. The teachers displayed different forms of transport like road, water, air and rail. The event saw in depth teaching where teachers creatively built up a model categorizing different means of transport.
Road – Invention of the wheel to modern day road transport including emergency vehicles.
Rail – Passenger train, metro train and goods train. Water – yacht, sailboat, cruise.
Air – Boeing, jet fighter, helicopter and hot air balloon.
Children were made to understand the importance of road safety rules and recognise the importance of vehicles in everyday life. A scrap book assignment was done for this special day where the students actively participated to speak about the project they have done which helped them to build their vocabulary and language skills.
