Triumph at MU20 Summit

Thirty students from grades 9 to 11 showcased their talents at the MU20 Summit organised under the aegis of AFS, renowned as Asia’s largest high school conference. It attracted 2,500 delegates from 100 schools. Hosted by The Emerald Heights International School & SKVM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Indore, the three-day summit featured diverse events, including Model United Nations (MUN), the Entrepreneurship Challenge, Impact Challenge, Theatrics Challenge, Debating Challenge, a Carnival, and a Cultural Walk. HPSB students excelled in their respective challenges, earning multiple titles and laurels.

The summit’s first day, 27 October, commenced with enthusiasm, featuring a Cultural Walk followed by a concert, providing delegates and teachers with a taste of the summit’s spirit. The opening ceremony and cultural walk unfolded at the host school, with our students showcasing culture of Telangana and Mehak- e- Hyderabad at the INIFD Indore Times Fashion week. HPS was among the 12 schools selected out of 200 to walk the ramp.

Various challenges were held at SKVM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Indore on 28 and 29 October. In the Impact Challenge, Sarthak Lamba of class 11D and his team won The Best Stakeholder Group Award by providing innovative solutions to the problem statement for the Impact Challenge was ‘Channeling the spirit of Atma Nirbhar Bharat to elevate India’s manufacturing capabilities and infrastructure to outer space global leaders such as China, Taiwan and Vietnam and establish our position as the world’s foremost manufacturing hub.’

The Entrepreneurship Challenge required students to present elevator pitches and navigate an Entrepreneurship Escape Room. Jaiveer, Vaishnvi, and Arnav of class 11B secured the Best Team Award for Product Development Track for creating an innovative quiz board game.

The Debating Challenge had teams of three charge into active bouts of discourse over the course of three rounds. Workshops led by seasoned debaters too were conducted for the benefit of the delegates. In the Debating Challenge, Aaryaveer Gupta, Akarsha Reddy, and Ayaan Alladin of class 9 emerged as one of the top-performing teams. Aaryaveer Gupta also earned the title of Best Debater for his exceptional presentation on the motion, ‘The House regrets the use of surveillance capitalism.’

Jaiveer Rajiv Aiyar of class 11B reached the finals of the MU20x talk, where students freely discussed topics of their choice. He was among the nine finalists chosen from 200 entries.

The 20 under 20 initiative celebrated young achievers, and our students Akarshana Satish of class 7C and Krishaneel Rathore of were featured in the MU20 Summit Magazine as part of the top 20 all-rounders. Their accomplishments reflect the school’s commitment to nurturing talent across diverse fields.

This triumph of the school underscores not only the exceptional talents of our students but also the school’s commitment to excellence and fostering a diverse range of skills.
