WORLD ART DAY at HPS

‘Study the science of art. Study the art of science. Develop your senses – especially learn how to see. Realize that everything connects to everything else’ – Leonardo Da Vinci.

World Art Day is celebrated every year on April 15th, marking the birthday of the legendary Leonardo da Vinci. This World Art Day 2025 resonates with the theme “A Garden of Expression: Cultivating Community Through Art.”

The art department organized an umbrella painting workshop, where 35 students from grades 6 – 8 (ICSE and IGCSE) and 12th graders (ISC and IGCSE Art) actively participated. The workshop allowed students to explore their creative freedom and learn new techniques of painting simple umbrellas in designs of your choice.

During the workshop, 12th-grade students mentored their juniors, engaging in meaningful art conversations that will likely last a lifetime. This event showcased the impact of art on inclusivity, providing a platform for students to express themselves.
